Busy meal planning

healthy weight loss meal plan

Meal planning to lose weight is a waste of time. Let’s look at the facts: A UCLA research study concluded that people on special diets did lose fat, but within two years 83% had gained back more weight than lost. Their research concluded people who did not go on a diet, were better off from a health standpoint than those who did.

I know healthy meal planning sounds like a smart idea. Here’s why it doesn’t work:

It’s too much hassle.

As the facts prove, sooner or later people get tired of looking at charts, diagrams, and planners- and go back to their old habits. Here’s meal planning made easy:

DON’T WASTE TIME MEAL PLANNING

Meal planning for weight loss needs to be so simple and so easy that it’s not something that takes any special effort whatsoever. If you put together some special healthy weight loss meal plan- the odds are sooner or later you’ll get tired of the whole idea of custom meal planning, and you’ll stop doing it!

Does that mean we should totally abandon the healthy weight loss meal or diet plan? No. It just means we need to replace it with easy meal planning- which is no “planning” at all. No matter if you call it fast meal planning or busy meal planning- it’s still planning!
And planning is still too much work. So don’t plan- just eat healthy!

You don’t need to put any thought or effort into healthy food. Don’t make a new body and life more complicated with manufactured foods. I put as little thought into eating as possible. I never “meal plan.” With a full schedule, two kids and two dogs, I can’t plan on what will be happening two hours from now. I’m sure your life is the same way. Knowing what’s healthy made weight loss easy. I simply eat what and I like. Every meal is decided on in about three seconds, if that long. It can become that simple for you too.

Permanent weight loss does not take any special meal planning tips. It takes a change in your eating habits. You do not need to pay for a personalized meal plan from a giant weight loss company. Just buy natural food at the grocery store. That’s all you have to do!

It’s not the $50 “meal planning for busy moms” software that’s going to make you lose weight. It’s the changing of your shopping and eating habits that are going to make you [and your family] lose weight. If past food habits caused weight gain, you can’t expect to not change and lose weight.  Keep it simple! Simple is easy. Simple is doable. Buy more healthy food and less unhealthy foods, meaning more natural food and less processed food. Buying fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, nuts, eggs, skim milk, cheese, chicken, fish, lean meats, and so on- does not take much thought. Your life is the same, only simpler and better [and you get to eat more].

Every meal compounds over time to help or hurt you. It might take some time before you’re totally rewired to make healthy choices all or most of the time. That’s OK. It will get easier. You have to start someplace, so start by shopping more wisely. Buying the same quantity of junk food you always bought is a very bad idea. The next time you go grocery shopping, make conscious choices. Don’t buy from past habits. Be very honest about what goes in that grocery cart. Don’t kid yourself here. If it goes in the cart, it goes home, and it will be right there tempting you 24/7.

Want to get off to the fastest start possible? Stop buying man made junk and processed food for the first couple months until cleaning up that diet is relearned. Then after the time needed to develop better habits, you won’t have any problem ignoring the junk. If junk food is in the house and still being eaten, all you’re doing is dragging out the process of cleaning up that diet [while progress is sabotaged at the same time].

Don’t even think in terms of a fast or quick meal planning. Don’t plan at all! Just shop smarter. The more natural foods you eat, the faster you’ll lose weight. To succeed at healthy meal planning and weight loss, don’t make life more complex, make it simpler.

Losing Weight Fast Can Be Counterproductive

If you are worried about any weight you may have gained and want to get rid of it quickly, and you resolve to any rigorous method to achieve fast fat weight loss, it may well be that you are not happy with the results. Although it is not difficult to lose weight fast, if you try to do so too fast, you can land up in more trouble than you bargained for. However, if you follow simple fast fat weight loss tips, you can easily lose extra weight and maintain your weight as well.

Carbohydrate Diet Plan Tips

There are many low carbohydrate diet plans which are very popular and quite effective as well -Atkins is among the most famous – but they do not necessarily help you stay healthy. And while you can achieve fast weight loss while on them, they can be counter-productive. This is because if weight loss is too fast, it can be regained equally fast. Diets like Atkins are not diets which you can stay for your whole life. So it is much better to eat foods which are slow carbohydrates rather than low carbohydrates so that your blood sugar does not get overly affected and your weight loss is slow and steady.

It is important to keep your blood sugar level stable and one of fast loss weight tips is to ea beans and/or legumes at each meal. This will fill you up and provide a good combination of proteins and carbohydrates as well. Beans can be had cooked into dishes or even mixed with your salads. If you are full and satiated, you will more easily resist the temptation to eat unnecessarily in between meals.

You can also succeed with fast fat loss weight if you stick to a lifestyle that promotes better health and rather than gorging yourself with sugary foods and also fast foods, you would be better off consuming a diet that is balanced and which is low on the glycemic index and also helps to lead a less stressful life and at the same time achieve desired results as far as fast fat loss weight goes

It is vital to eat foods which are low in the glycemic index so that the sugar is released slowly into the blood stream. Foods which are low in the glycemic index are also usually in low calories. If you want to lose weight fast, you need to avoid high fat and high sugar foods and also foods which refined, fast foods and ready to eat foods. It is much better to eat a balanced diet, eat the right foods and eat enough. All these foods will stop you from feeling that you are on a diet, you can eat right and stay health and also achieve reasonably fast fat weight loss.

Most people, however, look for quick fix solutions and this leads them to try out fad diets which will no doubt help in fast weight loss, but are neither good for health nor are diets you can stay on for a long time. Low glycemic diets help people achieve their weight loss goals faster and safely.

A diet that you can follow is the Complete Idiot’s Diet which is targeted to people who want to lose weight effectively. This diet results in fast fat weight loss and this diet is one which can be tailored to your needs, because there is an online diet generator which will give a different diet for each person.

Do Weight Loss Drugs Work?

Weight Loss Pills Beware

[Each year, increasing numbers of people around the world are becoming overweight, including school children according to recent studies. To cure this problem, some people have resorted to surgical measures whereas others have decided that adjustments to their food intake and an increase in physical activity is necessary. The problem is that many people are impatient and want instant results so they resort to taking weight loss drugs instead of living a healthy lifestyle.

These drugs usually work buy telling the brain it's no longer hungry, stimulating metabolism to aid the shedding of excess fat. It was only after scientists discovered that these drugs had side effects and were related to heart valve disease that they were taken off the shelves. Since then, newer drugs have been developed and doctors continue to prescribe them although they are still awaiting FDA certification.

The chances are that if you asked enough people, someone will say they have used them and been happy with the results. This is obviously a very tempting prospect, to lose weight while eating the same diet. Many millions of dollars are spent each year in The United States alone while the drug manufacturers spend huge sums on further research into weight loss drugs.

An individual wishing to buy weight control pills can do so over-the-counter or have them prescribed by their doctor, however there are still health risks associated with their use. You must check the packet carefully before you decide to use them because some of the other side effects can be even more harmful, like the possibility of a heart attack or even a stroke, with hallucinations, tremors, breathing problems and convulsions all recorded as side effects for users of these drugs.

This can lower the possibility of some side effects occurring, although this may depend on the genetic makeup of the person using them. Problems like irritability, tiredness, vomiting, stomach pains and sleep problems are all common effects reported when someone stops taking these weight control pills.

{Although these weight loss drugs do work, an increase in beneficial effects occurs when regular exercise is undertaken along with a change in eating habits. Despite all the bad publicity, weight loss drugs do work but they are more successful if they are used in conjunction with a low calorie diet and regular exercise, preferably using a properly worked out exercise regime.} A low calorie diet would consist of meals that contain vitamins, minerals and fibre which are all essential for good health; the best sources are fruit and vegetables.

As far as the exercise is concerned, this needs to be worked out in advance after a physical examination by your doctor. A regime of this kind would increase an individual's metabolic rate.]

The correlation between women, divorce and weight loss

Divorce is a major life altering occurrence. It is right up there with losing a loved one to death, losing your job, and moving. It can have many aftereffects, one of which may be weight loss. Now, this can be good or bad, depending on the underlying reasons.

If you lose over 5% of your body weight in a month after divorce, that usually can be attributed to depression. So that would be a negative. By losing weight so fast, you could actually be damaging your health. This would be most noticeable if you see you are losing weight but know you are not trying to lose weight. Weight loss after divorce at a too rapid pace will leave you with a lack of energy and tired out. And at that time, you need to have all your abilities working well, so you should consult a doctor for help.

Weight loss after divorce occurring because you are trying to lose weight is another matter. This would be a good thing. Many times, unhappiness during a marriage can directly cause weight gain. There are many reasons for this. Your spouse may be a saboteur, bringing home goodies they know you can’t resist. Some go so far as to “fatten up” their spouse deliberately so no one else will “want” them. This is usually the case with the skinny or normal man and the fat (sorry about the “f” word!) wife.

If the wife begins to lose weight during the marriage but near the end of the relationship, the husband can feel threatened, and may even say “you’re getting better for someone else”. With discord in the relationship, sometimes for years, proper eating may go out the window. It is not unusual for a wife to gain upwards of 100 pounds in a marriage due to unhappiness. Combine that with pregnancies and abuse, and weight gain can skyrocket.

However, if the wife decides she wants a divorce, she may actually lighten up mentally and physically because she now sees a “light at the end of the tunnel”, thus starting to lose weight prior to the divorce. In this case, weight loss after divorce usually will continue because she is on a recovery track already.

After the divorce, if a spouse wants to lose weight, it is the perfect time, as they rearrange their lives for a new situation. It can be an ideal time to take care of oneself, to find an exercise outlet, eat healthy food, find new friends, and basically get on the right track to a happier, healthier life without interference. Weight loss after divorce in this case is a sign that everything is okay, they are getting better!

The most confidential ways to lose weight...naturally.

There really are only two ways to lose weight naturally. Eat less and exercise more. Do them both at the same time and you double your chances at success. Be patient, be relentless, and ... most importantly ... BE REALISTIC!

It is not necessary to give up the foods you love to lose weight. In fact, deprivation is one of the quickest ways to fail when you are trying to lose weight. Although you should try to eat healthier whenever possible, you can also continue to eat double cheeseburgers, french fries and sodas for lunch every day and still lose weight. Try these tricks:

1. Buy a kid's meal
2. Drink a large glass of water or have a piece of fruit before you leave for lunch
3. Throw away 1/3 of everything on your plate before you begin to eat
4. Eat someplace quiet - a park bench, a blanket under a tree - away from traffic, the TV, and overexcited people.
5. Eat consciously - slowly, chewing your food completely, putting down your fork (or your burger) after each bite.

It is not necessary to exercise every day or for long periods of time to be effective in helping you lose weight. Any increase in exercise over the amount you are currently getting is going to naturally burn more calories. Perhaps these ideas might be helpful:

1. Find a walking buddy at work and push each other to go on a lunch time walk as often as possible.
2. Try exercise that has another purpose - geocaching, sweeping the sidewalk, pulling weeds, walking a dog.
3. Climb stairs every day.
4. Get up from your desk at least once an hour and take a 5-minute walk
5. Stand up and do exercises during the commercials

Losing weight naturally means losing weight slowly. Don't step on the scale every morning. In fact, for the first 6 months, don't step on the scale at all! Your body is going to do everything it can at first to try to hold onto the weight. Give it some time to realize that you are not trying to starve it. Once that happens, the weight will begin to come off naturally and consistently. Natural weight loss is the only successful weight loss. Start today!

Kick Start Your Metabolism

Normal 0

By Jim Nettleton

You probably heard it many times. “I could lose weight if only my metabolism were faster.” Well, it’s true that a high level of metabolism enables your body to burn fat and lose weight faster. So what can we do to kick our metabolism up a notch?

First of all, your metabolism slows due to several factors:

1- Loss of muscle resulting from not enough physical activity

2- The body actually cannibalizes its tissue because too little food energy being consumed

3- Decrease of physical activity that sets in as we age

So let’s develop a plan to get that metabolism back to a positive level:

1 – First and foremost, eat breakfast. It is absolutely true that it is the most important meal of the day. Research shows that people who eat breakfast are generally thinner than those who don’t. Waiting to eat until midday results in metabolism slowing down.

2 – The amount of muscle mass you possess plays a hand in your body’s ability to lose fat, therefore, exercise is a must. Weight training is excellent and should be done at least three times a week. You should be increasing the extent of your workouts steadily.

3 – Here’s one you may not have thought of; spicy foods. Yep, they can increase your metabolism. I happen to love spicy foods, so that one is right up my alley.

4 – This is a no-brainer. Stay away from sugar. Sugar is a big time enemy. It actually enables the body to store fat.

5 – Get more rest. Try to aim for 7 to 8 hours a night.

6 – Plan to make smaller meals. Take a tip from your cat. He or she never gorges. They eat small portions throughout the day. It’s the way we should eat, too.

7 – Drink more water. Water acts as a ‘natural flusher’ by carrying away toxins produced when your body burns fat. Lack of water slows the body’s functions.

8 – Eat regularly. Many skip meals thinking that it will help lose weight, but what it really does is slow down metabolism.

9 – This may be easier said than done in today’s world, but reduce stress. It can release a steroid in your system called cortisol, and that decreases metabolism. Another point is that people who are stressed tend to overeat.

10 – Get fruits, vegetables, beans and whole grains into your diet. They’re great energy foods.

Stabilizing your metabolism will go a long way toward letting you reach your ideal body weight. Eat right, get enough rest and exercise and you’re on your way to a healthy metabolism and a healthy body.

Drink Water To Lose Weight

Normal 0

By Jim Nettleton

Okay, what’s one of the most important, but very frequently overlooked items in your weight loss program – or programs, if you’ve tried several?

One word: water. Yes, water.

Water plays an essential role in any weight loss program for several reasons. First, it aids digestion and assists in elimination. Even more importantly, drinking a regular supply of water throughout your day will ensure the fact that your body is consistently well hydrated. This, of course, aids in all facets of maintaining efficient body functions. The importance of water to a weight loss program cannot be overstated.

Now, let’s talk about carbohydrates. They are the little rascals that give us energy and, as such, they are highly important as you try to lose weight. But you must bear in mind that not all carbohydrates are created equal. Some are a positive influence on your diet, but others are not.

For example, simple carbohydrates like sugar can, indeed, supply a shot of energy. Sugar enters the bloodstream quickly, but acts more like a hit and run quick cure than a sustained level of energy than can be realized by consuming the complex carbohydrates, like vegetables, fruits and grains. The complex variety also has the benefit of ‘filling you up’, thereby staving off hunger for a longer period.

In the American lifestyle, too many people are eating far too many simple carbohydrates, due in large part to our dependence on junk foods. So in your diet regimen, make certain you spurn the simples and consume the complex. Not only are they far better for you in general, but eating more of them will assist you in your weight loss program.

Proteins are next on the agenda. As you probably know, proteins are constructed of amino acids, which are sometimes referred to as the building blocks of the body. Proteins not only assist in repairing and maintaining the body, but are also a significant source of energy. Energy from protein, however, is slower to manifest itself – considerably slower than energy derived from carbohydrates – so don’t fall into the trap of consuming simple carbohydrates for that quick energy boost. Be patient.

Another source of energy are foods containing fats. Fats, too, are a quick energy booster, but they also contain calories galore and have well-documented health risks as well, so you’d be well advised to shun them – not entirely, of course, but keep intake to a minimum.

Expanding further on the minimum intake thought, it is recommended that you eat no more than 30% of your daily calorie total in fats. It doesn’t hurt to lower that more – that is a maximum suggested percentage.

In summation, wean yourself from simple carbohydrates like sugar and concentrate on eating the complex carbohydrates that you need, like vegetables, fruits and grain. Make certain that you get enough fiber in your diet. If you haven’t been eating enough fiber, don’t boost your total all at once. That could lead to considerable discomfort. Raise your intake slowly, over a week or more, until you reach the recommended level.

Make certain that your diet is well balanced and nutritious. And to assist you further, take vitamin and mineral supplements, but be sure they’re good quality and, preferably, liquid. Liquid vitamins and minerals are absorbed more readily and, as a result, your body receives more of their potency. Ideally, intravenous delivery is the way to go, a method practiced by my friends at the Cherry Hill Center For Molecular Medicine in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. They can be reached at 856-490-0505.

Good luck with your weight loss program.

Who Said You Have To Eat It All?

Normal 0

By Jim Nettleton

Remember your mom saying something like “You can’t leave the table until you finish your food”? Usually, this command was accompanied by a solemn statement concerning the number of hungry children in the world and was fashioned into the reason that we were not to waste our food.

The more sarcastically inclined among us would retort with a snappy line, urging mom to send the food to those kids. This response was rarely well received. The serious side of this childhood ritual was that it implanted a life long psychological bombshell that sneakily nudged us toward consuming large quantities of food. Following that blueprint is one of the major ingredients that lead people to crash diets to lose that extra weight that is piled on their bodies.

The new mantra has to be, ‘eat until you’re satisfied, not until you’re completely full.’ Leftover food will keep very well. There is no need to consume all of it at one sitting. In days past, when your mom gave you the ‘eat it all’ ultimatum, people didn’t realize the harm that kind of thinking could create all through life. At the time, it seemed a sensible approach. Today, we know that nothing could be further from the truth. Bad eating habits learned early can be an unrelenting albatross throughout our lives.

Here’s a valuable tip. If a lot of leftover food is more the rule than the exception after you and your family has finished a meal, then you need to rethink the quantity of food you’re preparing. That should be obvious, but many families just keep churning out excess food day after day, week after week. A bit too little food is far better than too much.

Another trouble area is going out to eat, whether at a restaurant or at a friend’s house. Being the polite folk we are, there is an implied obligation to play magician and make all food presented disappear. Many of us are reluctant to ask for a doggie bag at a restaurant, or to tell our hosts that we just can’t eat anymore. Don’t fall victim to this big diet mistake.

Another diet buster is our habit of putting all food that has been cooked for a particular dinner on the dining table, turning the meal into a sort of rotating buffet. A better idea is to fill a plate and take it to the table, eliminating the temptation of reaching for additional helpings that are just inches away. If you can reach more food easily, chances are you’ll grab it. For more tips and ideas, visit my web site through the link in the resource box below.

Maintaining a healthy weight is fast becoming a formidable challenge to all of us, especially Americans, whose tendency toward being overweight has been thoroughly chronicled in recent years. Following the above advice can help us break what has become a vicious cycle and get us moving in the right direction for our overall health. We need to seriously address our calorie intake and find creative ways to make our ideal weight a reality.

The old adage about getting exercise by pushing ourselves away from the table has never been more true, or more vital.

Keep Close Tabs On Vitamins And Minerals When Dieting

Normal 0

By Jim Nettleton

Many people who are overweight suffer from an accompanying potentially dangerous syndrome; lack of proper nutrition. Because their eating habits are not balanced, deficiencies in this vital area are relatively common in overweight people. This problem

becomes magnified when they go on a diet.

It is imperative that they pay close attention to getting the proper amounts of vitamins and minerals when dieting. Because dieters in many instances dramatically reduce their food intake while trying to lose weight, the amount of vitamins and minerals consumed are also often radically reduced.

But be careful in your choices of supplements. I'd recommend that you consult with a competent nutritionist who can help you choose supplements that will actually provide your body with the right amounts of vitamins and minerals and will ensure that they contain proper potency. Many commercial supplements do not deliver the potency that they claim. Further, when taken in tablet form, the actual amount the body absorbs is

lessened, thereby reducing the benefits even more.

While the bottle may claim to deliver 100% minimum daily requirements of various vitamins and minerals, by the time those tablets reach your blood stream you could be getting only 30% or less.

Using the best supplements can also help you in your weight loss quest. They contribute to making you feel more full. If you're on a diet and you feel hungry most of the time, beware. Something about that diet is very wrong.

The best possible scenario, if you have it available in your region, is supplementation intravenously, a service along the lines of that offered by the Cherry Hill Center For Molecular Medicine, in Cherry Hill, NJ. You can call Dr. Molly Fantasia at 856-489-0505 if you’re nearby to their clinic. Sure, it costs more than other types of supplements, but the method ensures an extremely high degree of absorption of the nutrients.

If you can afford it, it's best to have your diet personalized for you and you alone. This would require utilizing the services of a dietitian and a nutritionist, although in many instances those two fields are combined in one person, which makes it a lot less financially daunting.

If you follow this path, your chances of being successful in your attempt to lose weight will be considerably higher, since your body won't be craving those things that are missing in less well thought out diets. A lack of the elements that your body needs is one of the major factors in the failure of dieters to achieve their goals.

So follow this plan. Begin by consulting with a qualified nutritionist to make certain you’re getting all the nutrients you need and in sufficient quantities. And if you can, go the intravenous route. The extra effort and/or expense will be well worth it.

I wish you the best in your dieting efforts.

Reading Food Labels For Your Health

Normal 0

By Jim Nettleton

Most people, especially in the United States, are confused when it comes to judging portions of food. For instance, how much is 5 or 6 portions of vegetables and fruit, what constitutes a portion of red meat, etc. Most Americans would probably be surprised that what they think is one portion is quite possibly much more than that. If you are seriously watching what you eat and how much you eat, investing in a food scale is probably a good idea. Some of the high-end scales are capable of keeping a running total of your intake.

The first step in getting your eating habits in order, however, should be reading the labels on the foods you’re considering buying. Check the serving size mentioned, which is usually at the top of the label. Bear in mind that these figures are derived from averages and are not written in stone, but they do provide an overall guide that is useful. The serving size is what determines the level of nutrients delivered by that particular food, so it becomes a simple matter of addition to find out how much of a given nutrient you’ll consume if you eat more than one serving.

Below the serving size is a breakdown of the percentage of various nutrients, including the calories, fat, saturated fat, mono unsaturated fat, cholesterol, sodium and so on. The percentage of the recommended daily allowance of each of these items is listed on the right hand side of the label. The percentages listed express a relationship to the recommended caloric intake for an individual of two thousand calories.

Obviously, what we’re looking for is the highest nutritional value combined with the lowest caloric content and lowest fat totals. Remember, however, that calories in themselves are not evil. The body needs them constantly. It’s excess calories that are the culprit. Likewise, the body needs fat, as long as the totals are not overboard. You can find many related tips on maintaining and losing weight at my diet website. You can go there through the link in my resource box below.

The main purpose in studying the food labels on the groceries we buy is to control our overall diet balance and supply our bodies with the well rounded food intake that will help our systems run efficiently and healthily. I’ve known several people who keep a daily log of foods they buy and eat. A couple of them have the data entered into a spread sheet so that they can create an ongoing graph of their eating habits.

That might be taking it a bit too far, but it could be a smart idea when you’re just starting out trying to organize and control your eating habits. Take a notebook along when shopping or, for those who are more high-tech oriented, a Blackberry or other hand held device, and keep careful notes on label information and everything you buy.

Once you develop the habit of evaluating what you buy and eat, it will become second nature, much to your overall health’s benefit. The old adage, “we are what we eat” certainly applies in today’s world. Americans in particular are gaining weight at a frighteningly rapid pace. The scariest aspect of that trend is that it is present in large degree in the young. It is a trend that needs to be stopped quickly if the future health of the population as a whole is to be protected.

So let’s make a start be reading those labels carefully and take a step in the right diet direction. Here’s to good, healthy eating.

Eat Slowly To Aid Your Diet

Normal 0

By Jim Nettleton

There are many little tricks you can use to help yourself in your weight loss quest. For example, did you realize that slowing down your eating speed can have a positive effect in a diet? It’s true, but it’s an underutilized method that can be an important part of any dieting effort.

The more time you take to eat, the less food you’ll need to eat in order to satisfy your hunger. Here are some tips that can help break a bad habit of eating too rapidly, which can lead to eating too much food and, as a result, sabotaging your good intentions.

First of all, wait until you’ve finished the food you’re chewing before loading up that utensil again. It helps to physically put down your spoon or fork while you’re chewing what’s in your mouth. This sounds simple, but it’s a very effective technique.

Another simplistic sounding technique is to chew your food a little longer before finally swallowing. This accomplishes two things; it helps you digest food better and also allows you to feel more satisfied because of the additional time that it takes you to chew. As a result, you won’t need as large a quantity of food.

These simple techniques will help you break the habit of over eating because of consuming food too fast. The majority of us in this country probably all eat too fast. Other countries dine more leisurely than we. For example, even though the typical French diet is richer than ours, their method of eating brings balance to their diets. As a rule, they eat smaller portions but take a lot longer to eat their food than we do. This practice helps them to stay slim.

It’s a matter of getting yourself in the habit of slowing down. Once you do start eating a little slower, chances are you will enjoy your food a lot more. It will give you more time to savor and enjoy the tastes in your food.

Let’s not forget a simple rule that will help with our efforts to lose weight. Remember that your body does not react immediately to let you know you’ve had enough. It takes a little while following your meal for the body to signal that it needs no more. As a result, many of us overeat if we eat too fast, sort of blowing right by the stop sign. We feel that we are still hungry. So adopt this rule; never eat until you are full. The smart thing to do is eat until you feel comfortable that you have had enough. Don’t wait for your body to put up that stop sign.

Weight loss scams

Do fat burners work?

Spotting fat burner, diet, diet pill, and weight loss scams is very very simple. Permanent weight loss can only work one way: You have to use up more calories than you take in. This is the ONLY thing that can work. This makes spotting diet and weight loss related heath scams incredibly easy. If the diet pill or weight loss advertisement you’re reading fails to mention that FACT, your weight loss scam detector should go off.

So do diet pills or fat burners actually work? Instead of looking at the advertisers claims, let’s look at the facts: A lot of diet pills are nothing more than fiber or common herbs. These are diet product, weight loss, or fat burner scams that do nothing.

How do some diet pills "work"? By flooding the body with powerful stimulants. Stimulants really will speed up your metabolism- the rate at which the body burns fuel to create energy- and suppress the appetite. That’s why you don’t see very many overweight cocaine addicts. Please note: I am not comparing people that take diet pills to drug addicts, nor am I saying that diet pills are going to lead to drug abuse. What I'm saying is that the principal is the same. If you take a drug to stimulate your metabolism, that’s exactly what’s going to happen. That is why they’re called stimulants.

The plan is for that stimulant pill to speed up your natural metabolism and create a larger calorie deficit. Fat is your body’s reserve fuel tank. You can speed up that metabolism all day long, and unless more calories are used than consumed, those fat reserves will never be tapped into. Also, all you’re doing is trying to get a pill to do what you were designed to do: Speed up your metabolisms by being active. Diet drugs are shortcuts. You need to learn how to lose weight yourself. A stimulant pill will stop you from learning how.

Do you honestly think it’s best to be filled with artificial stimulants for weeks or months? Do you actually think a chemical shortcut is better and healthier than creating a natural calorie deficit through your own efforts? And think about this: If you couldn’t keep the weight off before you started taking a pill, why would you be able to keep it off after you stop taking it?

Be very honest with yourself here.

The only safe, natural, and permanent way to lose weight is to slowly take it off by creating a small daily calorie deficit. I know what you're thinking: “But their ad said it was safe and all natural. They promised there were no side effects. They had lots of testimonials from satisfied customers.” Of course that’s what they’re going to say. They’re trying to sell you something. I’m very sure they said something similar about Fen Phen before it was pulled off the market for causing heart valve problems.

Once again, look at the FACTS: Nearly seven out of ten Americans are overweight or obese while spending 40 billion dollars annually on fat loss products. Think about that, if any popular diet pill worked permanently- would so many people still be overweight?

What does that fact tell you? It tells you how to easy it is to spot a weight loss or diet scam, because fat burning diet pill failures are everywhere.

Why are fat burning scams everywhere? Follow the money. It’s easier to tell people they can burn fat or lose weight with no effort than it is to tell them the truth. The truth is, you don’t need any diet products to lose weight. Weight loss short cuts are either a total scam, or they only make it harder for you to  learn how to permanently keep excess weight off.

Key motivators and natural weight loss

The key to safe and natural weight loss is motivation

Losing weight is exactly like getting wealthy. There’s only 1 way to do it that will work. However, there are countless ways to go about that one way. To get wealthy, you have make more money than you spend. And there’s a ton of different ways to do that. To lose weight permanently, you have use more calories than you consume. And there’s countess ways to do that too.

So why is motivation the total key to safe and natural weight loss? Because it does not exactly matter how you go about dropping body fat. All that matters is finding the right motivation to lose weight that works for you.

It does not matter what your personal motivation is for safe and effective weight loss is. It can be something totally simple like just wanting to live longer and feel better about yourself. It may take something more intense like specail weight loss visualization techniques. When the right weight loss motivation is found, you’ll have the disipline to lose weight- no matter which way you decide to go about it.

Remember, it doesn’t matter exactly how you create that calorie deficit- as long as you go about in a safe and healthy way. You can choose healthier foods and go for a long walks. You can train for a marathon and give up unhealthy food. As long you can motivate yourself to lose weight, it doesn't matter exactly how the body fat comes off.

My best advise is this: Don’t count on something you’ve bought to give you the motivation to lose weight. A new Internet weight loss plan isn’t going to inspire you to lose weight. You need to find the motivation for weight loss at first. Once you discover the proper weight loss motivators for you, doing whatever; walking, running, treadmill, etc. is a lot easier. It’s easier use the correct weight loss "tool" because the right motivation is already there.

So before you start a weight loss journey, I would urge you to do some soul searching and discover your key motivators for weight loss. Let me repeat, it doesn't matter what they are. All that matters is that they are powerful enough motivators for you. The most difficult time in weight loss is the first three or four weeks. That’s when you’re trying to break your past weight gain habits.

It takes some very serious motivation to not give up on your safe weight loss goal during this time. But as long as you maintain your personal motivations to naturally lose weight, it soon becomes much easier. You have to be prepared not to quit during those first critical few weeks. So have your special motivatiors lined up. Above all, do not give up. It will get easier. Very soon you'll forget about how challanging it felt. You'll be too busy enjoying your new body and life.

Lose Excess Fat By Eating More Slowly

You may be shocked to learn that simply slowing down the speed at which you take in your meals at can have a profound impact on your body weight. As an easy way to lose excess fat this is among the best.

The longer it takes you to eat your meal, the less food you will need to have to be satisfied. Here are a few tricks to help release you from the bad habit of hurrying at mealtimes and therefore overeating.

Chew the food over and over before you actually send it to your stomach. Chewing longer means you become fuller without having to gobble as much. This will also aid with the food's digestion.

Don't load up the fork or spoon with more food before you have finished eating what's in your mouth already. A simple way of doing this is to rest your fork on your dish and wait until you complete eating your current mouthful. Another point here in the battle to lose excess fat is that this it is largely mind control.

Eating too much, from eating too quickly, is just a habit that has to be broken. An example would be the French who not only eat less but take time to do it too. So they remain slim from a combination of methods.

Also, Europeans eat their food with the whole family a lot of the time. Then there is more chance for conversation to develop and that will also slow down the rate of food consumption. As an extra this is also good for holding the family unit intact.

When you start to do this you will notice you are able to take more pleasure with your food. You have more time to really savour your food.

Your body needs a few minutes after you eat to inform you it's had its fill. People that eat quickly, eat too much because they do not give the body a chance to signal it's full. Don't eat until you cannot eat any more.

Control Servings to Control Your Weight

Portion and serving control is an important part of losing weight. Once you cut out all of that extra food, you will find your fat loss greatly improved. Here are some tips that you can use to make sure that your meals and snacks are just the right size.

Plate Patrol

Your plate can be the key to overeating and portion control.

Larger plates allow you to fill up on more food. Using a smaller plate is a great way to keep your portions under control. The smaller plate only allows for smaller portions, so you eat less.

While you are filling that smaller plate, remember to fill it in thirds: one-third vegetable, one-third high fiber bread or pasta, and one-third lean meat product.

 Censored Servings

If you find yourself snacking throughout the day and into the night, there is help for your serving situations. The key is to avoid temptations. Remember, losing weight fast depends on not overeating and controlling your portions:

·        Stay away from vending machines.

·        Keep snack foods in cupboards and out of sight.

·        Don’t keep a candy dish in your home or office.

·        Similarly, don’t keep a bowl of chips around during TV watching.

·        Buy a very limited amount of snacks and put them in single serving baggies. Limit yourself to one a day.

·        Don’t buy large bags of any kind of snack food. Look for single servings or “fun” sized servings and only eat one.

Just making these few changes can have a dramatic impact on your health, diet, and weight. If you really want to see rapid weight loss results, combine these techniques with a professionally certified exercise plan, like the one in this No Nonsense Muscle Building review. Within just a week or two you'll see your body change. A combination of exercise and diet improvements is the most powerful way to lose weight known to man!

The Obesity Epidemic - How To Burn The Fat!

Ever since obesity has been named as an epidemic, it has attracted attention throughout the globe.

In America weight loss has become an industry. Fans of diet plans make claims of how much weight you may lose and how fast you will shed the pounds. The latest weight loss product is called Fat Loss 4 Idiots you may have notced the hype for this one is spiralling out of control!

Some go to the limit of saying that you will lose up to 10-12 lbs in a week while medical professionals warn that such claims are ludicrous and weight reduction of such proportions can come about just by losing water which is damaging to the system. Likewise there's always the risk of gaining weight just as fast when you stop working on the plan. Essentially all these plans boil down to some basics.

The body's weight is made a contribution by fat, muscles, bones and water. Here's what you should do...increase metabolism so that excess fat can be burnt off ; burn off the fat that is stored in the body by exercises and fat burning food. But don't starve the body of the necessary nutrients. There's no clear definition of "fad diet" ; it is terribly subjective. Trend diet is popularly reputedly a poor weight reduction diet. A trend diet often becomes awfully well-liked extraordinarily quickly and falls out of favor just as quickly. Regularly promoted by parties that publish books about the diet or those that sell some additions or ingredients that are part of the trend diet, a trend diet may not achieve anything at all or at times may have an inauspicious effect on health.

The natural diet plan relies on use of food voters that are routinely in your diet ; it advises some of the voters as being useful and some others as being dangerous from the perspective of weight reduction. As an example, it may recommend certain fish like Sardines, herrings, etc as providing advantageous Omega three greasy acids or may counsel use of lean meat but not others such as pork ; it may endorse low-fat skimmed milk but not the ordinary fresh milk. For an alternative method take a look at my fat loss 4 idiots review and prepare to get the full skinny on losing weight.

I can help you lose weight

Help with weight loss

The first thing I want you to know is this: I failed to lose weight more than ten over thirty years. Sometimes I would succeed when I was determined to lose weight for about two days.  A few times I was could lose weight for about three months- without any special help.

However, at age fifty, I finally got it down. Now I’m going to tell you how to lose all the weight you want with out the help of useless diet products. So no Celebrity Diets allowed.

First I share what you need to do, then I share the most important part: How to permanently lose weight with no help from gaint weight loss companies.

Step: 1 Get honest. You must honestly recognize the habits you need to change. If you refuse to recognize them, you can’t fix them. I know this sounds simple, but you'd be surprised how many of us wreck our futures by refusing to take an honest look at what we do each day when it comes to the care of our precious health.

Step 2: Don't eat processed foods. You never put anything in a auto you’re going to get rid of someday besides gas because you know you’d totally riun it. Then why would you put things in your ONE AND ONLY body it was never designed to run right on?

Step 3: Get moving. What's the number 1 factor in longevity? Aerobic capacity. Your heart and lungs need to be challenged. The same goes for your skeletal muscles. Your body ages much faster without use. You will rust out long before you will wear out.

Step 4: Take some kind of action. You have to get started doing something NOW. It doesn’t matter what it is. Something is better than nothing. "Nothing" is your greatest enemy in the world. Nothing will take away everything, faster than anything.

Action is the real key. Taking action will reveal where you need to change things. It takes one main thing to have a personal weight loss success story: Changing unhealthy habits over to healthy ones. Nothing else will work besides this. This is why diet products don't work and never will: Even if they are for "real" they don't help you change your habits permanently. They are doing the work for you.

Don't make this more complex than necessary. To succeed, just eat right and get active. I repeat, it all about changing the unhealthy habits that make you gain weight over to better habits that are PROVEN to make you lose it.

Here's my most tip to help you lose weight: You must have a thought ready that is stronger than the bad habit that is tempting you. It doesn't matter what that thought is, all that's important is that it works for you. It could be something as simple as thinking you want to be around to see your grand-babies. Let me repeat, it just has to be a thought [or thoughts] that are powerful enough for you.

Perhaps you can find a motivational weight loss story that had special meaning to you. Other helpful weight loss stories might hold just the thought you need. Honest, sincere and inspirational weight loss stories are easy to find.

When I took the time to learn what would help me lose weight, it transformed my life and future. As much as I hate to admit it, I got fat and lazy. Now, when most people see my picture, they think it's fake! They can't believe a fifty year old can have a body that looks 25. The truth is, I didn't do one special thing to help me lose all the weight I wanted.

All I did was find some thoughts that were more powerful that my bad habits. Then every day, I ate right and exercised. In a few short months, I felt just like I did when I was in my twenties. It really wasn't hard or complicated. I never went hungry or deprived myself. First, I gave up junk food. Then I started a sensible exercise plan.

Successful weight loss is 99% mental. All you need to do is find a motivator that is powerful enough for you- and then take action. Do not buy anything specail to help you lose weight. Fads and diets do NOT help you lose weight- they only make it harder.

How To Avoid That Your Body Is Going Into Starvation Mode

Are you waiting for the weight loss silver bullet? For the next super duper miracle food that claims you will lose weight and yet you won't have to do anything, even better - you are allowed to eat everything you want? Well there is and will be no silver bullet. All the diets and weight loss supplements are only there to help you with losing weight. The general rule for losing weight is as simple as it can get. Eat less (junk food) and start exercising.

When looking for the right diet plan the only thing that needs to bother you is, to find one that will reduce your calorie intake to a limit where you are losing weight, but at the same time your body gets a balanced nutrition with enough calories so it doesn't go into starvation mode.

Everyone knows that you will lose weight by reducing the calorie intake. But if you are limiting the intake too much, your body will go into survival mode. If you are usually eating around 2000 calories a day and all of the sudden you reduce it to 500 calories, your body will think that you are starving. Your metabolism will slow down and you will lose weight very slow at best. If you are one of those that have reduced their calorie intake, but you don't lose weight, you have to actually increase your food intake.

In most cases this can be avoided by simply changing the foods you are eating. You should be eating lots of raw or steamed vegetables and fruits. Combine these with a moderate amount of lean protein.

A simple rule of thumb is: Eat foods that are available naturally (fruits, vegetables, soy, nuts) and avoid foods that are man made (like baked foods, canned foods, pastries and the like).

If you follow this simple rule then you will reduce your calorie intake naturally and lose weight.

Do Online Diet Generators work? Or are they just another Scam

Over the last couple of years there have been a ton of online diet generators popping up around the web.Is there a use to these weight loss websites? That's the question we're going to answer. In this short article we'll talk about exactly what an online diet generator does, if they're difficult to follow, and what type of results you should be looking to have while following one.

Exactly What is an Online Diet Generator

Most of the diet generators online either follow a popular diet such as the Mediterranean diet, or allow you to pick and choose foods from a particular list and they actually generate a diet from your selections.

An example of the first type is the website eDiets.com which offers several online diet plans that follow popular offline diets such as Slim Fast and Atkins.Fat Loss 4 Idiots is a good example of an online diet generator that will create a customized diet for you based on your food selections. You can read our detailed fat loss for idiots review here..

How Tough are Online Diets to Follow?

A key benefit to an online diet is that the facts, figures, and information you need is all available in just a few clicks of the mouse on the Internet. Simply login to the website and check what you should be eating or to grab a recipe for dinner.

There are more computer savvy people today then ever, so if you want to know how to lose belly fat an online diet generator is probably the quickest way to educate yourself. One tip, don't get weighted down in the details because there is a lot of information available, be sure you take action.

What Results Should you Expect?

The differences between all types of diets end right here. Why? Because it takes discipline to succeed at any diet online or offline. The results you can expect to get are directly related to how closely you follow the program.

If you tend to take short cuts, or don't have the discipline to eat as your are supposed to on a particular diet then you will struggle with fat loss on any program. When it comes to losing weight there is no substitute for discipline.

How To Get Motivated When You're Trying To Diet

Are you self motivated to exercise and lose weight or do you struggle like most people do when it comes to sticking to an exercise and diet program.

Desire is the key. That's right...if you desire something strongly enough, you will work until you get it. This is true for weight loss and all other desires in life.

Keeping routines simple is the best thing to do for changine your shape completely or just losing a few pounds. As you get fitter and stronger you can progress along from the lower level. Weight loss exercises are not that diffficult to do if you stay in focus. Walking around your neighborhood or exercising at the gym is hard when you let 'life' get in the way.

Unfortunately, many dieters don't plan ahead. Instead, they take things as they come, and rely upon two things: their initial enthusiasm, and (when this wears off) their willpower. But enthusiasm and willpower aren't enough to overcome the temptations and difficulties which we face when we try to change our eating habits and lifestyle.

Boredom is the most common problem when dieting. This typically occurs when our initial enthusiasm for losing weight wears off, and we become tired of watching what we eat. We become dispirited, and slightly depressed at the idea of having to maintain our "sensible eating habits" while everyone else seems to be having a good time.

Here's a better way to look at keeping motivated while dieting.

"Hmm, my diet isn't going as smoothly as I thought it would. Never mind, I'm sure this is quite normal. No one can be expected to change their eating habits without a few bumps in the road. Anyways, I'd like more than several minutes of pleasure from filling up my tummy with junk. I want pleasure throughout my lifetime from looking great and being considered as a serious person and maybe finding my partner. I know other people see me as a fat person - goodness, at times I do too! - but this is exactly WHY I want to change. I'm tired of being fat. Real tired. And if this means learning how to eat good food, then let's do it!

Overcoming Emotional Eating to Lose Weight

Overcoming emotional eating can help you lose weight faster than ever before. Even those stubborn pounds will melt away. It’s all about re-training yourself and your relationship with food.

Portion Control

Because emotional eating strives on emotion and not logic, you’ll have to incorporate safe guards to control you when your logic can’t. A good way to do this is to divide foods into portions before you get the urge to go on an eating jag.

As soon as you get home from the market, divide any bulk items into separate serving zipper bags. Bulk items include chips, cookies, crackers, etc.

If you have a problem with going back for seconds, thirds, and fourths, buy pre-packaged meals that only contain one serving per meal.

Eating Buddy

Many people who live with emotional eating find that having an eating buddy can be a blessing. Ask someone you trust, like a spouse or roommate, to be there for you when you feel yourself going out of control.

When you find yourself plunging into that tub of ice cream, ask for help. Saying something simple and funny like, “Honey, can you take this ice cream away from me before I put a hole in the bottom,” can lighten your mood and give you a signal to stop eating. Since you started the intervention, you won’t feel defensive or hurt when your buddy takes action.

One of the biggest things you can do for yourself is to find ways to control emotional eating. You just need to admit that you have a problem and find a trusted soul to help you on your journey to wellness. If exercising a little discipline isn't enough by itself, get on a formal diet plan like this Fatloss4idiots review - the habits you have cultivated will complement the plan for guaranteed results. Either way, take action - your body, health, and waistline will thank you.
